ECSTATIC YOGADANCE and KRIPALU YOGADANCE™

“an ecstatic sweatfest for the body and soul” … a joyful and rejuvenating experience that utilizes easy-to-follow dance and yoga-inspired movement to unleash Body and Spirit. This dynamic experience of inner rhythm and expressive movement is based on Kripalu Yoga’s free-flow of yoga postures known as meditation-in-motion. Based on the chakras and the energy inherent in each, this practice teaches you to open and flow with your innate joyfulness. Each class begins with a thorough warm-up, builds to an ecstatic climax, and winds down to a peaceful relaxation.

KRIPALU YOGA

Kripalu Yoga is often referred to as Yoga of the Heart or the Yoga of Consciousness. Although Kripalu Yoga is similar to many other forms of Hatha Yoga, it especially encourages you to dance your yoga, to discover the joy of listening to your own heart and body. Kripalu Yoga helps to cultivate curiosity and compassion, whether your practice be gentle or vigorous. Regardless of your level, the goal is never to perform picture-perfect postures, but to use the postures to heighten body awareness and increase connection, to yourself and to your spirit, both on and off the mat. Kripalu Yoga, practiced regularly, can provide infinte benefits. You will not only increase flexibility, strength, overall fitness and health, but you will experience more joy in your life.

A CHAKRA YOGA EXPERIENCE

A full-body experience of the chakras using visualization, meditation, sounding and asana. Discover how ancient India’s “wheels of life” can provide you with a deeper understanding of your own body’s pranic wisdom.

YOGA AND AYURVEDA

An introduction to the relationship between these ancient Indian sister sciences. Discover how different yoga styles, postures, and pranayama techniques can increase or diminish the naturally-occurring elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth, which exist within each of us. Learn how these techniques can help to bring us to greater health and wholeness.

YOGA AND VITALITY

Turn up the prana! Regardless of age, sex or lifestyle, most of us wish we had more energy, strength and vigor. This workshop explores breath and asana exercises that can be done daily to re-fuel, re-energize and re-balance.

THE YOGA OF YES: MEDIATION-IN-MOTION

A movement improvisation workshop expanding on the essence of Stage III Kripalu Yoga’s posture flow. For those who long to reconnect to their authentic self, this full-body participation provides an opportunity to enhance listening skills, to let go of the thinking mind, and to trust the guidance of prana within.

THE YOGA OF YES: EXPRESS YOURSELF

Do you long to feel a greater sense of freedom, play and fearlessness? Do you dream of unleashing the full potential of your authentic self? This program will inspire you to break out of the imaginary prisons of perfectionism and self-criticism. Known for her spontaneity, creativity, and ability to hold space for transformation, Jurian is dedicated to bringing her years of experience in theater, dance and yoga to help others find authenticity and full self-expression.

DEEPEN YOUR PRACTICE WITH KRIPALU YOGA

Are you new to yoga and want to take your practice to the next level? Would you like a nurturing and creative environment in which to explore and deepen your practice? Do you want tools and techniques to relieve stress? This fun and enriching immersion experience will deepen and expand your own yoga. Learn how to trust your own  body’s wisdom and to find grace and power on and off the mat. This workshop will include

  • Daily morning sadhana (yoga practice)
  • Study of Kripalu Yoga methodology and techniques
  • Breathing techniques applied to asana (postures) to deepen your experience
